because as we all learn you can love a lot of people. It is possible to love many different kinds of people. It's who you make it work with that counts. Being heart broken is temporary. the best way to get over it is to fall in love again....and you'll be a little more savy about who you give your heart to this time.

Stigma? Do you really think that there is a bad mark against someone for breaking up?
Or is it a stigma about someone being heart broke?

Being heart broke is tough, and I don't think anyone puts a bad mark against you for being heart broke.

Where you may get a stigma from is if you are over dramatizing it as if it were the
"end of my life"
"I'll never find another"
"I may as well die"
"I'm never going to eat again"
"No one understands"

Well then YEA !
People will put you in the basement and slide food under the door until you get a grip on yourself...

because we have more than previous generations have ever had in terms of wealth, possessions and the advancement of our lives. This is supposed to create a framework for happiness in which we discover our own 'personal' happiness and we all live happily ever after. The trouble is, things may have got better in some respects but in others we are going backwards. Love is one of them, and when heartbreak calls it seems that you become somehow inferior to your peers who are living the happy life. Who is deceiving who?

I think Sartre said it best "The one who's heart is broken should not fear the inevitable but should live beside the pool of consciousness without worry of admiration."
