this is a very interesting question, both go hand in hand. one without the other would be incomplete to a certain degree i suppose.
having education without experience puts one in a novice category, with no advantages.
having experience without education, would put one in a disadvantage where there would be no actual basis to the knowledge gained just from experience. there would be no relevance or facts to give credibility.
so both are equally important, atleast in my view

Common sense is important. A educated person without any experience, if uses common sense can succeed.
