Who are you vivek

If you want to be a scientist, even coming from India, you will need a better command of the English language to do the course work involved.

e-mail me to tell me why you entered this community just to ask that question.
and why your name is so similar to mine...

Ignore the others: anyone with a sound doctorate in any branch of science could find a niche in space oriented research.

One of the requirements of any high level research position, however, is the ability to think logically and present those thoughts in a simple, understandable way.

From reading the question as it is set out I suspect you are not yet at a level where you can set out your thoughts in correct English. This will be a hindrance to you in pursuing your career unless you can communicate at the same level as those already in the field.

You may well have the grey-matter to cope with science but the ability to present yourself clearly enough to get the jobs is the real hurdle.

You are in IT and want to be a space scientist ?

Look, research is very tough also your area of specialisation does not actually fit into a space programme, you will be working primarily on Windows and developing desktop products, however computers used in space programmes run Unix or specially made OS which are not user friendly at all.

Also the programmers required have to be really good and must have a solid Science and Maths background.

I believe you can be whatever you invest your time and effort to be. I started as a programmer but now I'm a researcher in artificial intelligence.
