Terrorism is a problem in the world today (that much is obvious) but is the word used too much to discredit organisations and leaders who aren't actually terrorists?

Terrorism is often used improperly and out of proportion to its original meaning.

That does not mean it doesn't exist.

It simply means that those misusing the term have an agenda to deceive or they are just ignorant.

It is up to all of us to discern which.

Absolutely. Terrorism depends on your point of view. I will not get into a debate of who is and who is not a terrorist, but if the word was in style in 1776 I am sure that it was used to describe the founding fathers.

Terrorism has always exist! It is not new! It is just that everyone like the lingo.

How do you tell if a person is a terrorist? How do you believe what Politicians say? We can only watch their actions.

terrorism is applied as a method of achieving ones goals be use of force against a nation without regard for civilian injuries .OR the direct targetting of civilians .
you decide if the bombing of london was terrorism or was the bombing of berlin terrorism .
WAR itself is terrorism as far as i am concerned and two other types are not mentioned thats financial and economic terrorism which Israel uses heavily against palestine .
