I left my laptop open last night on my desk while i was asleep and apparently my two kittens wanted to walk all over the keyboard. The screen has not rotated to the left which makes it difficult to use my computer. Basically the scroll bar thats normally on the bottom is now on the left, and instead of typing left to right, its going top to bottom. It cant be that hard if my kittens changed it right? Any suggestions would be great!

If you are able to navigate windows with the monitor display as it currently is first verify that the display settings for the monitor cannot be changed through any special display manager or display utility by looking for any icon in the systray related to your video card.

If a utility is found in your systray that is associated with your video card right click this icon and try to locate any rotation settings to select the option to rotate to 0 degrees.

If you are unable to locate any utilities displayed in your systray or any rotation settings open your display properties by clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel, and double clicking the display icon. Within display properties check the settings tab for any additional settings or rotation settings that may be able to correct your issue.

Finally, if you are still unable to locate any feature of your display properties that enabled the monitor display to be rotated we recommend you delete your display adapter in device manager and reboot the computer to allow windows to re-initialize your video card.

If this does not resolve your issue I recommend installing the latest video drivers on your computer.

OR

Boot the computer into safe mode. Because no third-party software utilities are loaded when the computer is booted into safe mode your display should look normal.

If you are familiar with what program enabled your display to be rotated attempt to load the program though safe mode and correct your settings.

Unfortunately if you are not familiar with how your display was rotated and because safe mode does not load any software utilities we recommend you delete your display adapter in device manager and reboot the computer to allow windows to re-initialize your video card

Try Contol and using one of the arrow keys to rotate the screen. It's either conrol or Alt that does it. Maybe your cat or something walked over these keys.

Check in your video card properties (Control Panel-->Display-->Settings-->Advanced). There is probably a setting in there to rotate the screen.
