call on another cell using that mobile itself n u will get the number

If she pays the bill for it, the phone number is in last bill she received.
If it's a pay as you go phone, the vendor of the SIM card should be able to get the phone number for you.

Why don't you call her new number from her old phone. The number from her old phone should show on her new one.

call another cell phone or a phone with caller id with the cell she gave you

it should be in the phone, just look around for it
also, call a person with caller id to get it fast
