My sons used to tell me they had green bm's after eating green ice cream. I'd say that green food coloring caused it for them. I haven't heard of it being a sign of sickness. If it's been going on for very long and you can't figure out what you've been eating that was green, call a nurse practitioner and discuss it. They will tell you if you should be seen.

I had mentioned that to my Doctor also. I have green bowels usually after drinking too much Power aid or Gatorade. And my doctor said there wasnt anything wrong with green bowels . However you could call the Drs. office and ask to have a nurse to call you back and ask her that question. Or try to find the answer out somewhere on the web like you are doing......

Not normal at all. Probably your diet ...but see the doctor about it. Changes in bowell movements should always be reported to your doctor after 3 days or so. You did not mention if you felt sick. Good luck.

It means you've been eating a lot of something that is green, whether it's veggies or green dye. Just be sure to vary your diet so you aren't focused on a single food group.
