I'm sure it's possible, but it seems to me most sites need the Active X (flash) so you can see the page. I believe if you remove it , the page will not work properly.
I'm not a computer expert by any means, but I have noticed whenever we have tried to disable active X, some pages will not load correctly or will not be visible.
Now ,if you're talking about something that you didn't put , that was placed there by some other file or site, than perhaps a spyware removing software will work.

Not entirely sure what you're referring to. It all depends on the page. I'm a flash developer, and I know that Adobe just released a plug-in that will override the "click to activate" active-x control in Internet Explorer. So, assuming you're referring to flash, that's probably what you're looking for.
