Honesty and truth can be administered with tact and diplomacy. There is NEVER a good reason to insult another's personhood. Steer clear of those whom ALWAYS feel the need to "hurt" or "insult." If you cannot avoid these people - family, etc. do not ASK for their opinions. If any of these people should offer "advise", simply be still for a moment. The key is to respond - not react. After you take a deep breath, calmly state, "Hmmm. That's interseting." Then, leave the room, if you can. Change the subject. Don't engage in any further discussion on the topic. Try to begin to develope a "thicker skin." Using daily affirmations is a wonderful way to strengthen your feelings of self-worth, and to remain calm and grounded, when in the presence of those who seem determined to hurt others with their "I'm just being honest" attitude. Perhaps they believe this, but that is not your problem, nor should it be your burden to bear. (Try hayhouseradio.com = there are SO many wonderful, inspirational hosts and topics, round the clock!) Each morning, look i the mirror and tell yourself, "Every day, in every way, I am gatting better and better."

I just asked that same question, my friends think that I'm too sensitive because I cry alot when I hardly get hurt and I can't control it. If your the crying type then I do have one answer for you(my teacher told me to do this) start breathing deeply and just let yourself talk to someone that you trust and that would understand you good. But sometimes it's okay to cry your heart out. :) And also help them to realize to next time say it in regards to your emotions, I know its not the best advice but I tried and its also the thought that counts.

Exercise is a quick method. The slower, and better method is learning new ways to think. Two words, Anthony Robbins.

words cannot hurt you unless you identify with what is being said to you. Be above it all.
