I'm just wondering if anyone has had breakthrough bleeding when changing brands of birth control? I have recentley switched from the Ortho Evra patch to the pill. I went to my doctor during my patch free week, so I was able to start the pill right when I needed to. I had my period during my patch free week and then started the pill on the next Sunday. I guess I'm just wanting to know if anyone else has experianced breakthrough bleeding when changing forms of brith control. I had always thought that only happened when you first started taking birth control. Am I wrong? Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks so much :-)

This is normal. There is dosage differences and it could cause it. If it hasnt stopped by next cycle talk to your doctor.

A lot of people do..often time they get breakthrough bleeding if they miss a dose..if there switching types..because there body has to adjust to the lack of one..and then the new one.
