He is still the President, and his credibility is not at zero. There are some issues I still respect him on. The problem I have is that I do not have any respect for his views on the environment, education, or the war in Iraq. I think some of how he has handled North Korea and Iran show merit, and he is still pro-business which does have its merits.
I do care what he thinks, mainly because I want to be sure that whoever I vote for against him doesn't think the same way on the issues I identified.

I sometimes think of Bush as a hero of Greek tragedies against whom gods themseles have plotted his destruction. Bush's intervention in Afghanistand and Iraq was not wrong in principle As a responsible and perhaps the strongest power left in the field it was America's duty to keep a watchful eye on world development even if the incidents there may not have any effect on America as such. When America intervened in the two world wars ,earnestly speaking it had no reason to take this ,as they say among Hindus of India, to take on conducting the funerals itself and face all the expences. Consider for a moment had America not stepped in and allowed the take their own course, perhaps the world would by now have been crushed under the heels of Hitler. Japan would have cast its yellow shadow over Asia and China and India would have been no better than Korea which under Japanese rules was technically independent. The error perhaps lies in not properly enquirig the situation in Iraq before mounting an attack. As it is all the suspicious of secret weapons etc. were proved to be false. In Afghanistan America did the correct thing in driving Russia out and then helping concretly the successor government to enforce its rule of law.
We will have to take this background into consideration before we judge Bush. Perfhaps, as I said earlier , he appears to be a Greek Hero of tragedies and whatever action, even well meaning action he takes, ends in disaster because of the interference of the gods that be.Spare a kind thought for Bush. He needs it.

He is the president. I don't believe he has a clue to what the American people think or care about. For example he can vist 10 military bases and not give Cindy Sheehan the time of day. Know that is really being in touch with the pulse of the American people.

So you believe CNNs little polls that say his credibility is at zero? Goes to show you if you yell something long enough and loud enough people will believe it, even if it is'nt true.
I'd be willing to bet that if he could run again for president that at lest 45% of Americans would vote for him again.

He is still the President of the US. I personally think Bush doesn't care any more because he doesn't have to run for president this time around..
Thank half of the American people for voting for him, not once but twice.. This nation is divided by idiots.

He's the president of the united states and what he says and thinks (if the convoluted processes in his brain can be called thinking as opposed to delusion) has a decidedly large impact on the rest of the world.

Your premise is dead wrong, that's why. You have a lot more reading to do. Besides he is still president and that is why people care what he thinks. Bush Bashers are the most close minded people I have ever heard.
