You can make your own luck, in a way similar to winning sports teams or individuals but only if you are in the right frame of mind.
If you think positively, then things snowball and begin to happen for you because you are clear headed and able to evaluate any situation. You can then decide on the best outcome ( which some call LUCK ).

You are the master of your own destiny. Do some reading and researching. Begin with the Seven habits of highly successful people, for instance, by Dr. Stephen Covey. There are many, many more, like this. Dr. Wayne Dyer , Dr. Deepak Chopra, - both excellent , excellent teachers and visionaries. Perhaps hanging about with this mate of yours is hindering your spirituality, and making you question your own personal choices, actions and worth. It may be time to re-evaluate this relationship. Be well!

Your mate is probably an optimist. If you see the glass half full, you will consider yourself lucky! However if you see it empty, the mate will be always lucky... Try and look at the bright side of things and you will wonder in surprise of how lucky you are!

Not so sure. There are times, though, when it seems that the saying "if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all" applies pretty well to my own life.

Let me put it to you this way, Gary Player (a famous golfer if you didn't know) once made a great chip in at a tournament. As he was going to the next tee, a woman said to him "that was a very lucky chip". Gary turned to her and said, "You know ma'am your absolutely right! And the more I practice, the luckier I get!"

I believe that some people are born luckier than other people. Why else would some people be pretty, smart, and rich. I also think that you can make your own luck, by ceasing opportunities

Don't believe in luck, I believe in prayer. If your mate is as you claim, he's probably sold his soul. Act as if your mate is a building on fire, and get out of there, fast, before YOU get burned.

I reckon you must be born with it as I know a few people who are jammy buggers getting all the good stuff despite doing nothing to deserve it!
