does anyone know how to get your website on to a search engine without paying for it??

yes hun the key is simple links. You do not need to submit to a search engine. Cause search engines use "spiders to crawl and index the internet. So if you have a new website all you need is a link pointing at it from an existing website, so when the spider goes to crawl the old site it will see hey new link and follow it and than start indexing your new site. but i have listed 3 url's all to the 3 top search engines so you can submit it manually.....you do not have to pay to submit it to these engines.

It depends on the search engine. The best way to be indexed is to be linked from another web site. But, for google, you could try the link below:

You never have to pay for it. Yahoo for instance, you just go to the search home page, and click on "suggest a site"
