There are many strategies to football. The most simple way to explain the basics.

First on defence: Man marking... where certain defenders stay with certain offenders to shut them down. Zone defence.... Attack the ball but play in the zone. Offsides trap.... try to get offenders offsides so they can't attack the goal.

On offence: Box overload.... lots of offenders in the penalty box to score goals. Wing play... bring the ball up the sides to cross the ball into the penalty box. 3rd man..... one man from behind runs ahead of the ball to force open space or a passing option. Counter attack.... when the ball is in the defence send it up quickly to catch the opposing team off balance.

These are simple strategies and they can all overlap. Hope this helps

There are several strategies in order to win. You can have a defensive strategy. Play with lots of defenders, midfielders wait for the opponent to make a mistake and then counter attack.
Offensively, you can try to play with your wingers opening the field in order to dismantle a closed opponent midfield.
Another strategy is to keep control of the ball and start creating spaces with short passes.
