As if the oil companies needed another excuse to gouge us at the pump and for home heating oil. I expect we'll be paying over $4.00/gallon very soon. Our budget payment to heat our home has increased by 68%. An increase of $80.00 a month. Now with the Alaska pipeline shutting down I can see that I'll have to find a way to squeeze out more money each month so that we won't owe another huge bill at the end of the budget next July. Those of us who live on a fixed income are going to have to choose between heating our homes and putting food on the table.

The general public will feel the affects. The chairman of BP will get bonus for doing a good job.

Not sure what the governments up to now. Bush have any money invested in this?
