Should politics stay out of the bedroom and sex between consenting adults?

Why is it the government feels it needs to regulate what goes on between consenting adults?

Because it makes social conservatives feel powerful. Especially fundamentalist Christians. They hate the very idea of any consenting adults using sex for any purpose other than procreation. They think that schools giving out condoms are encouraging our kids to have sex. They think AIDS is punishment for homosexuals. And of course, they think abortion is murder, while at the same time capital punishment is the way to deal with murderers who actually murder recognized people under the law. Above all else, they think the world's going to hell in a handbasket, and they want to be the ones to save it. That's why Sean Hannity, Randall Terry, and so many others on the right got involved in the Terri Schiavo case, for example, by trying to turn it into a pro-life issue.

Should politics leave the bedroom alone and vice-versa? Hmm as long as it is CONSENTING ADULTS I though politics was kept out of the bedroom, at least as far as legislation. Last I knew S&M and whatever other kinky things you want to do is legal. Heck you can go to Spenser's and buy handcuffs and such for the bedroom, so I would say that it isn't legislated. Now if you are trying to discuss things like "gay rights" and the rights they think they should have, well that isn't regulating sex. That is reglating MARRIAGE and other things on that line. Also if that is what you mean I hope you support Bigamy and Polygamy. After all we have no right to support just one group if we say we are supporting consenting adults. Last the Republican's WEREN'T investigating Clinton over a BJ it was about LYING UNDER OATH, known as PERJURY which is ILLEGAL and also why he surrendered his law license.

I don't know there has been many times I've gotten laid because some chick loves G. Bush. (I have a support the president and our troops poster on my wall) Some girls get turned on by a republican or maybe the job, house, and car. I don't know, I am more attracted to conservatives because they are on board with me. I guess when it comes to sex it dosen't matter much. When talking about a relationship I think it has some importance.

It's not the gov't per se, but the REPUBLICANS in control of it. If Dems were in power, you would not have to worry about what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home.

what exactly are you talking about? what goes on in my bedroom is no governments issue... (at least, as long as we are referring to two consenting adults). do you have any other experiences?

Morality should never be legislated, no one should tell you what two consenting adults do or don't do behind closed doors, regardless of how you feel about it.

Since republicans don't get that much sex they are preoccupied with what others do .Its a vicarious thrill .
Gay sex is their main preoccupation ,I don't care what two adults do in a consensually relationship.

yes it should be left out of the bedroom. just pure raw animalistic sex is allowed. and you better be able to fetch,
