My guess would be the opposite. On House they go places where in the real world they would never get away with, but would love to try.

Some of them probably do, but I know they have doctors as writing consultants on the show and they try to make all things medical as believeable as possible. I also know that the doctors do a lot of things that normally would be done by nurses or lab techs and various other hospital staff. No fictional medical show will ever be as accurate as real life, that's why it's fiction.

I would guess so. Imagine if you had studied the parathyroid hormone and the superior vena cava for eight years or longer, only to have a TV show make fun of the seriousness of the job.

It's still fun to watch, though!
