Since an inner ear infection can lead to deafness and in extreme cases infection of the brain and death. I would not be trying home cures. Get a MD to prescribe an otic antibiotic. He can also give you an anesthetic to stop the pain. I really recommend not messing around with it. If money is a problem, use a free clinic or go to a large teaching hospital ER and then just ignore the bill. Try to hit them in the morning 9 - 11 slot. There is less business from the knife and gun club at this time of day and you should not have to wait as long.

For all ear "challenges" the use of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide [inexpensive and available everywhere] seems a good remedy. It's been used for waxy ear, itchiness, during a cold instead of anti-histamine, water in the ear, etc.
Lying down with the head on a towel, and with head turned to the side, just place a couple drops in the ear and let it "bubble" for a few minutes. Turn head over for draining and "there" - all better. It has antiseptic properties and can be used as mouthwash, whitener, or gargle too.
