If he say no, then you two have a good level of trust to talk that openly to one another.
If he says yes, then ask him if he's joking.
If he still says yes, then ask him if he still wants to make the marriage work or if he wants a divorce. Then admit your own feelings and see how you can resolve things between you two.
But yes, ASK.
Nothing, not even interest in classical tunes, broadway musicals, or acting a tad effeminate is a concrete indicator of sexual preferrence.

Start an intimate conversation about two men being together and see how he reacts. Straight men usually will react very harshly that two men being together is gross. A man with tendencies will probably talk about it with some interest. Just ask him out right and tell him you are not going to judge him if he is and has been with other men. Tell him that you just want to know. Don't make an arguement about it otherwise he will shut down. Make him feel comfortable. Maybe he wants to be married to a woman and gay.

Your first port of call should be his browser history.
Take a look a what sites he visits....
If he is deleting the browser history then you know he has something to be ashamed of and you might need to install a surfing spy program.......of some kind....
If he is gay looking up gay stuff on the net might be appealing to him.
