Israel has patriot missile defense systems, so why does it appear that they aren't using them? It is never reported that rockets are intercepted in the news. Here is what sparked my interest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6fn5NZ6LBk

The Patriot is designed to go against long range weapons, like the SCUD are C802. Rockets are just too small and too short a range for the Patriot to track effectively.

The Patriot missile is larger than the rockets that are being sent into Israel. Hezbellah fires and runs. Rockets are much easier to use as they are just fire and forget. Or in this case, spray and pray. Spray as many as you can into your target area, and pray it hits something of value.

Well to be honest I have no interest at all. Here is the way I look at it. I say do one of two things. 1. Nuke everyone and call it a day. These missile attacks are like pinching someone. Or 2. World peace. I vote for 2 but I must be realistic and remember all the jobs created because of war;-) What a screwed up world we live in and to top it off we keep having babies to continue this "trend".

Apparently it's a very ineffective defence. Very few scuds were intercepted during the Gulf war.
