go to start menu and search. when u get there type in maintenance wizard once that is done his go or search then when it comes look for the icon that you are missing and right click on it then hit create short cut.....that will put it on your desktop.................do the same thing with system tools.......but after it is on the desktop ...........click on it and hold the button down and drag it to the start menu while still holding the button down......when the start menu comes up drag it to the spot u want it. hope that helps......that is the only way i know how to do it and the way i would do it.

click on
start
find
type in the name Maintenance Wizard.
click the search button

when the window pops up with the search results, make sure it doesnt cover the entire screen,
click the icon and drag it to your desktop
this is a shortcut. it should still work.

next
do the same search on system tools.
follow the same procedure.

if for any reason, either or neither icon works, you should be able to find both in the control panel.
if they are missing.
save all of your personal data to CD
format and reinstall 98

To put your system tools back in your start menu:

Start -- settings -- Start Menu Programs --
Add -- Browse --

Now:
Find your system tools on your hard drive by browsing for it,
Highlight it,
Click "Open",
Click "Next,"
Double click the menu you want it to appear in on your start menu
Click "Finish"

To put a short cut to "Maintenance Wizard" on your desktop:

Click on "My Computer"
Find the program and click on it
In the file menu, choose "create shortcut"
Drag the shortcut icon onto the desktop

Hope that does it for you!

when you find the program
right click on it and make a shortcut for your desktop

if you want it back in the start menu then I think there is a thing for that under conrol panel
