I have been told that stressing out over the test can cause a false negative and positive it somehow causes a change in th body chemistry. I had a false reading with my frist child until I was 41/2 months along. That even included apelvic that the doc said I was not pg and gave me pills to start my cycle. All they did was make me bitchy so I quit taking them two weeks later I got a positive reading. Good Luck

are you having any stress? so times that could delay you period sometimes for a month or so....but you also could be pregnant but your body isnt producing a high enough of the hcg hormone to make a HPT come up positive... your best bet is to get a blood hcg test and manybe even a ultrasound

Well there may not be enough Hcg in your system. The best way to know is go to the doctor. Just stay on a healthy diet and take your vitamins and wait and see. Best of Luck.

SOME TESTS ARE DEFECTIVE AND DON'T WORK. TRY A DIFFERENT TEST. IF THAT DON'T WORK, GO TO A DR. ANYTIME I AM PREGNANT AND TAKE A TEST, IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME UNTIL THERE IS ENOUGH HCG IN MY SYSTEM, AND THAT IS USUALLY ABOUT 6-8 WEEKS. YOU CAN EVEN HAVE A BLOOD TEST DONE TO CHECK FOR THE HCG LEVELS AS WELL.
