I'm not suicidal or anything, far from it, it's just that we can't get ahead!

Forget getting ahead... can't break even! When you have 5 dollars to your name, your 1985 truck is spitting gas all over your house, you have shut-off notices for every utility, and you just got screwed by Blue Cross Blue Shield on a $1000 ER visit....

Lots of people are in the same boat, right? So how do you all cope, because I'm about ready to bang my head against the shed a few thousand times.

Sittin' here, scratching my head trying to figure out what an "emo" is...

And getting another job is a great idea... except that day care costs more than the job pays. Now that's a problem. Hubby already works 80+ hours/week, so he's pretty much out of free time to moonlight.

I know what you mean!!! I have soooo many issues to deal with right now, but I put the most important first and everything else just fall as they may. I got hired by a school i was subbing at last year, I knew I was gonna get the job ever since last school term, anyways over the summer I didn't get another job b/c that would be stupid to get a job and work on it for about 2 to3 months and then have to quit b/c Ihave to be in my classroom ready to teach. Anyways, I had to go to court b/c i wanted my child support to be reduced over the summer or applied to my arrears til school starts. (School has already started for me) The judge said he didn't care that I worked as a teacher in the school sytem, he went up on my child support and said if I miss 1 payment they'll pickme up from school and take me str8 to jail. So I have a lil photography buisness goin on and I set up on the weekends and take pics at Flea markets and I make just enough to stay out of jail another week. so I know what you mean, my goal every week is to hustle to stay out of jail til I gte paid from the school at the end of this month.

Don't give up, do what you can and know that someone is praying for you.

Yes I've been there. I can remember a time when I felt lucky to have 15 dollars in my checking account. If it hadn't been for my parents I would have starved to death. I was divorced, no kids, and no disabilities so therefore I didn't qualify for any kind of aid from the government. I was working, I just didn't make enough money to pay my bills. My husband had cleaned out our bank account and left me with NOTHING!! But I didn't give up, I finally found another job and now 11 years later my home is paid for as well as my 3 year old car. I had to do without alot of things to get to this point, but the satisfaction of pulling myself up out of the "black hole" as I call it lol was well worth it.

Remember, no matter how bad it seems to you, is ALWAYS someone out there who has it worse.

I've been in your shoes before, I know what you are going through. I've been down to the point where I was eating dry dog food just to survive. It wasn't pleasant and I vowed to myself that I would never let myself get into that type of situation ever again. That was twenty-five years ago and I am doing much better now.

Just hang in there, it'll take some time but you WILL get through it. Just communicate with your creditors, inform them of your situation and they will work with you to find a solution. Even if it means sending them $10.00 a month for the next 10 years or whatever, you will get through this.

Good luck.

Don't give up! Life does throw some curves at you. My son just went through a terrible ordeal with his life and job. It took him awhile to get back on his feet, but we were there for him financially and emotionally. We also have to rely on prayer to our creator for help in making wise decisions and getting the best advice on how to make choices that can work out for you in the best way to take. Hang in there! The Bible is not an "old fogy" book. It will provide the best answers for you. If you need help then ask someone who comes to your door with a Bible message.

When things get tough just take some time and go somewhere where the things that are bothering you are not around, some place simple and quite like the library or something and think of positive solution for these things that are causing you stress. We have to have rain in order to have the sun.

Let me guess..u are an emo girl right? u probably here emo crap music all day long...well if u dont why the defeatists attitude??Sure u may be screwed up in life right now but if u quit now and not be on a look out for oppertunities u might end up a bigger disaster than u are at the present.

how to cope...its a thing u have to look deep inside urself to find out.But the important thing is to cope.U have to cope someway somehow or you are as good as dead.U need not even commit suicide the situations themselves will kill u,and i am not joking. For inspiration sake..

Please allow me to introduce a man who really never gave up,u probably already know about him but might not be able to recall him at this point of time...cause we rarely remember the things when we need them the most...So without further beating round the bush...The man i am refering is none other than the classic failure himself....ABRAHAM LINCOLN...

heres a small info about the guy:

Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. If you want to learn about somebody who didn't quit, look no further.

Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown.

He could have quit many times - but he didn't and because he didn't quit, he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of USA.

Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up. Here is a sketch of Lincoln's road to the White House:

1816: His family was forced out of their home. He had to work to support them.

1818: His mother died.

1831: Failed in business.

1832: Ran for state legislature - lost.

1832: Also lost his job - wanted to go to law school but couldn’t get in.

1833: Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was bankrupt. He spent the next 17 years of his life paying off this debt.

1834: Ran for state legislature again - won.

1835: Was engaged to be married, sweetheart died and his heart was broken.

1836: Had a total nervous breakdown and was in bed for six months.

1838: Sought to become speaker of the state legislature - defeated.

1840: Sought to become elector - defeated.

1843: Ran for Congress - lost.

1846: Ran for Congress again - this time he won - went to Washington and did a good job.

1848: Ran for re-election to Congress - lost.

1849 Sought the job of land officer in his home state - rejected.

1854: Ran for Senate of the United States - lost.

1856: Sought the Vice-Presidential nomination at his party’s national convention - got less than 100 votes.

1858: Ran for U.S. Senate again - again he lost.

1860: Elected president of the United States.

Are u cheered up yet...?Atleast your life isnt as bad as this guys...wotta looser!...But the guy finally won!!HE FINALLY WON...and so will u! Just look inside urself and find the courage to face your problems...No one can tell u how to cope.every one has there own methods.u can also find ur own.but you have to work for it.

All the Best
