By homes, I mean the luxurious homes, not the necessary ones. The homes I see around myself are too much luxurious having 5 or 10 bedrooms for a family of 3 or 4 persons. That is a sheer waste of money and why don't we build 10 such homes with 2 bedroom each and give away the remaining 9 homes to the needy ones who can't afford to build their own homes due to whatever reason? Why are we so greedy and so selfish?

I love your views - you're are sooooooo right about that.

Lately I have been saying the same thing to my family.

I recently downgraded and I'm getting ready to downgrade some more. I don't need the space OR the bells and whistles that waste our natural resources.

HGTV shows you how you can live very well in small spaces.

We are here on this earth for 70 or 80+years if we are mighty, so the Bible says. We try to make the best of what we have for what duration we do have to live on this earth. People try to go "for the gusto" because we "only go around once." Sadly, they fail to see the intent of their creator on the matter of how to live their lives. The Bible says we should be content with the everyday things. We should use moderation in all aspects of what we have or get in our short lives that are always glutted with agitation. We were not purposed to have a life like this. This is not true happiness. We are living in a world that is terror ridden, full of wars and suffering and we are frightened by world events. So because they have no hope in what the future will bring under God's kingdom, they go for it all.

Money has a tendancy to turn people into ignorant vile egocentric people. I agree with what you're saying, but it wont happen.
