Get it done professionally. Too much chance of giving yourself an infection and/or incorrectly piercing yourself if you do it yourself.

You could certainly do it yourself. Infection is easily prevented. There is a link below that sells a great device. I've always used a sterilized needle, and have never had a problem. At one time we purchased an ear piercing device at a local grocery store (Big Y). My kids proceeded to pierce all of their friends ears as well. It was less than $10.00, and worked great.

If you really don't want to have a professional do this for you & I would suggest that you get it done professionally, there are kits available to do this safely and correctly. These kits are available at Wal-Mart for under $20. The only catch to them is that you must also purchase the proper ear ring to do the piercing with and that both must be purchased by someone who is over the age of 18.

Not recommended that you do it yourself. You could damage the ear lobe or stick yourself in the hand. Even with a gun it is dangerous. And you need something to numb the lobe. Get someone else to do it.

I have to agree with Mal*, There is no sense in possibly getting hurt if you pierced your ear lobe yourself. So let a professional who knows how.

You can do it yourself, though I doubt you would want to. If you want a friend to do it you can always go to a beauty supply store and purchase a kit to pierce your ears. I suggest getting it done professionally though so the holes will be even.

Doing it yourself would be painful. Also, it can be unsanitary and you definitely don't want pus oozing out of your piercing. Go to a jewelry store, or those jewelry stalls at malls and get it done there. Better to be safe than sorry :-)

sure just use a stainless steel needle but make it a bit hot by pressing an iron on it.

Don't peice yourself EVER! It gets infected real bad and don't go away for a year. Great time to do it when you want to wear them next week. (Sarcasm)
