mermaid costume. What colors should I use?

Anything relatively bright in my opinion. In the Little Mermaid, Ariel had a greenish tail and a purple shell bra. You could just pick your favotrite color and make it that color.

Ha nice costume choice!! :-) I would say go with the classic aqua blue/green and and purple top. Make it look like Ariel from 'The Little Mermaid'

Aqua, Fuscia, Purple, Yellow...Holographics/Sparkles would be awsome. You can either copy one of the mermaid from the movie Little Mermaid (look at all the sisters at the beginning of the movie) or go with your favorite colors! Either way I am sure it will be perfect!!!

I once saw a beautiful evening gown made of sea-foam (pale, pale, mint green) with a layer of sheer, irridescent (shimmery), lavender draped over it. Gorgeous.

i would use pinks, purples and blues and maybe some greens. just make sure you got a way to go to the bathroom when you have it on

Pick your fav color and go for it, there is no set rule for the colors of a mythical creature.
