Best is to consult a doc, but I will share what I know:
Woman:
1. Day 21 progesterone test (Blood test) to find out if the harmone level is correct to hold the pregnency.
2. TSH harmone level test.
3. Mid cycle scanning to confirm proper ovulation
4. Finally tube test to make sure the fallopian tubes are fine.
Man:
Semen analysis. This is to be done only at a fertility center and not at regular labs. Fertility center tests show more detail about motility and abnormalities.

It could be there is something that is simple that is making hard for yiou to have children. Your family docotr can rn some simple tests to give you the answer to that and if needs, send you to a infertility speciaslist. I do not believe that it is defects that causes this problem sometimes it is a simple problem. I do feel for you as about 30 years ago I was told that I would never have children after I had miscarried at 5 months along. For 3 years I believed this then I went to another doctor who found the problem and I now have 9 children. Best of luck to you.

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

A gynaecologist would be the best person to decide. There are radiological tests, hormonal considerations, sperm count for the husband if needed ,temperature and pH to be considered and lots more...You can still have your own child,if you,the lady has a physically normal reproductive system by use of hormone and/or fertility treatment,or artificial fertilization...Still only your gyna can decide.

Go see your gynocologist. He can help you figure out what you need to do to increase your chances of getting pregnant. If after a few months, you still don't get pregnant, he can run fertility tests to determine what to do next. Your husband will need to be tested too most likely. Then there are lots of options, fertility drugs, invitro, and if all else fails there are so many kids out there who need parents.
Good luck to you. I hope you get pregnant
