This may sound silly:
1 - call your local animal shelter.. see who they may suggest.
2 - ask your neighbors.. or local farmers
3 - call your local extension office - found at the court house
3 - petfinder.com and search for a local rescue group nearest you.. rescue groups need good vets, and those that don't charge more than necessary.. someone that loves working with animals.. because most rescued animals.. need more TLC than anyone can ever imagine.
4 - call up the vets in the phone book, ask how qualified they are with treating the type animals you have.. go visit their offices, see if you're comfortable there.. how everyone treats you.. etc.

Good luck!

If you go to http://www.rabbit/org you can find a local chapter that can recommend a rabbit vet. Chances are if the vet sees rabbits they know exotic animals and would be able to do the bird. My vet does cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, rabbits, mice, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, etc.
