Yes! Not only are they utterly fascinating, they are peaceful.
I love to look at the variety of stones from huge monuments, (did they think God would see them better?), to the plain, modest ones. Then there are the ones so old they are sinking into the ground as if the person is reaching up to take them into their bosom.
The moss, the plastic flowers new and faded, the religious articles, the occasional freshly dug grave or the newly mounded one - all interesting.
Who were these people and who loved them? What happened to their relatives that no one cares for the grave anymore? Why doesn't the cemetery's caretaker fix those tilted or sinking stones?
I like to stare at the old mausoleums and wonder if they house a vampire. I never get too close to them even in broad daylight.
Yes, I like old cemeteries. I don't know if it's because I went with mother as a child to bring flowers to the graves on holidays, or if it's a fascination from horror movies, or just the strangeness of all that space devoted to dead people?

yes, i do... i feel like i can get connected to the dead and i feel calmed down and soothed a lot visiting them. i don't have chances to do that very often, though, i feel good when i walk pass by old cemeteries that are well taken care of. i feel the respect for the dead from the people alive, looking after the place. or even something very old or too old and without fences but just the broken tomb stones gathered in one place, i can still feel that someone wants to show respect to the dead, though not sure who they were or from which family they were from any more, even only by gathering the broken stones.

The elaborate old tombstones are beautiful. Old cemeteries are nice places to walk through or even to eat a picnic in.

I spent four hours in a very old cemetary in Paris once, looking for Jim Morrison's grave site...came across Chopin's crypt and a dozen other historical figures in the process. I'll remember that day forever. Really centers ones soul and put things into perspective.
