If you like the lord of the rings genre, I would recommend Eregon, and the follow up book Eldest by Christopher Paolini. I just read, and re-read them both. Also, Eregon (the movie) will be coming out late in the year.

The Mortal device sequence. it really is surprising. e book one is called 'city of Bones' and its a mystery. study the precis on-line once you're in contact :) the movie is popping out August 2013. i imagine you'll like it
