I work in a prosecutor's office and I often am asked by the prosecutor what I think would be an appropriate recommendation for a defendant . Last week, I suggest pre-trial probation for a young man who had never been in trouble before to try to allow him to successfully complete his obligation without being permanently branded as a criminal. If he adheres to what is asked of him, he can have the arrest removed from his record. I know that there are a lot of BAD people out here but not every person who uses poor judgement and gets in trouble is a menace to society. That guy has a second chance.

We go every two weeks to ride the steam trains with the boys. The last week, it was really busy. I bought six tickets, and by the time we got through the line and rode the train, it was almost an hour. My boys decided they didn't want to ride the trains again, so as we walked out of the park, I saw a dad alone with two kids, just walking into the park. The ticket line was long and the waiting line was nearly out the park. I gave him the three extra tickets I'd paid for. I thought he was going to faint!

my husband and I were victims of crime by teenage boys. the police apprehended them and found some of our belongings, ie, credit cards, keys, etc. their parents were called and they told police officers to just take them into juvenile detention. I prayed for the boys who have very little parental support, guidance and talked wih them. i am planning to write to juvenile and ask that they be required to do community service--to pay some restitution. these children are victims too. we need to respond to the needs of these children before they commit serious crimes. their community is also failing them. the modthers were in their mid-20's & had them when they were teens. it's a vicious cycle. there is something that's not working in the current system.

Last Friday I spent the entire day in the CCU with my brother in law so he didn't have to think about being kept alive by a pace-maker.

My wife was tired, so I did the entire laundry day for her, including the ironing, and put all the stuff away in a timely manner.

Well I had to restrain myself from reaching through the computer and smacking MR. RETARDO V, and I accomplished that - does that count?

My friend lied to me on Friday and I kept quite. Which I usually don't do. You lie to me, I tell you right on your face that you are lying and that makes people so uncomfortable. But I let it pass...
