I am in the same predicament. I have been reading a lot about baby names lately ( I am at 15 weeks) It seems like the best names are slightly different ( but not so different that they are bizarre) Something that can express individuality but not be the object of riducule. The most important thing is to choose something that means something to you. For instance, my husband and I got married in Las Vegas. It's our fav place in the whole world. We wanted a name that would remind of us of where we got married and where we decided to have a baby....so after we thought of all kinds of crazy names ( like: Vegas, Elvis, Strip, Casino, etc) we stumbled across Sahara. Teh Sahara Hotel is where we stayed when we got married. It's a little out there and I haven't decided if it's going to be a middle name or not, but i think i am going to use it either way.....I hope my suggestion gets your brain going! Good Luck !

The options for names are endless, really. Try looking through your family trees. Must be some dandies there. What about granny's name? Want undying attention and easy to get babysitters? Name her after a combination of your mum and hers.

Try to find one that can not be shortened. Like Donna. It really is annoying when people pronouce only 1/2 the name. Good Luck!

Kalista Kay. That's my babies name. Usually people spell the first name with a C, but I've never even seen it with a K. And there can be lot of cute nicknames.. Kali, Kiss-Kiss, Kays. I love it!! Good luck!!
