Everyone is both. Conservatives favor stability and liberals favor change. No one is entirely conservative or entirely liberal.

The easiest way to tell an extreme right wing person is to watch FoxNews for an hour or so and listen to how many "talking points" they repeat. The easiest way to tell an extreme left wing is to, again, listen to how they talk. If they use big words or talk about things you didn't hear in the conservative conversation like fairness and compassion, they are left wing.

Sure, Liberals act like they live in fantasy land at Disney World. Conservatives act like everyone is out to get them. The far left and far right are both looney. Its the people in the middle that are the majority.

Probably based on their attitude and actions. Sometimes with their style of clothing but thats kind of a huge asumption. Usually people with anarchy clothing probably aren't going to be conservative while a guy with dockers and a polo tucked in is probably not liberal but you never know. I dress well, almost metro but I love hardcore metal music, I guess if you saw me you would never guess.

Thinking about Washington DC, they all were suits but the Conservatives, Bush, De Lay, Rowe etc., all have that sleazy car salesman look about them, While Liberals, Clinton(Hillary), Kerry, etc., have that intelligent professional air about them.
