Art is a particular language or communication that the artist has put out into the world . Sometimes the artist makes the art in order to see inside him or herself. I think some artists seem to be recreating the same sort of work over and over. I believe that art is a hunt, a dialog between the artist and the painting, sculpture or other form while it is being made. When it is "out in the world" then the artist must let it go with as little explanation as possible so that others can respond to it from themselves. That is when it can leave a soulful (interior) place and be "read" by the viewers soul . It takes allot of quiet and concentration to "see" art.

Art is an image taken from life, and put into some form to be seen by people. You know how may forms of art you have seen in your life, some you don't understand - still it is art. Some you understand, but others do not - still it is art. If no one thinks it is, it is probably an accident. Perhaps that is a new category, accidental art.
