part of it is the choices and decisions you make. asking the right questions is part of the decision-making. it boils down to hardwork and persistence. small part of it has something to do with luck.

Success, on the other hand, is a personal opinion. What you consider success another may consider sin, despair or lack of attention.

I honestly believe that many people who have success have it because of who their parents are and how they were raised.
There are exceptions to every rule, but I believe that majority of successful people had parents that were relatively successful themselves, instilled and guided their offspring on the principles of success, and opened doors for them with their own connections.
A person who comes from a financially capable family with connections will stand a much better chance of success than someone coming from a family in poverty without connections.
