BP has shut down the oilfield in Alaska and that means we are all going to pay higher prices. Is this going to hurt your budget?

Yes, I drive a Hybrid - 47 MPG - around $33 (and rising) to fill the tank though. I'm as ready as I can be!! I love my car!

Gas is now a huge part of my budget. I actually had to leave a job I love because of the commute. How can Exxon profit nearly $10B in 2005 and just get away with it? Meanwhile, I met a guy who's digging through garbage for scrap metal to sell in order to have money for gas. Single dad supports 2 kids. He works full-time as a manager at an office supply store. It's a sick sad world.

The oil field was shut down because of a spill and NO I am not ready for higher gas prices. And this is going to kill my budget
