Will the U.S. involvement in the United Nations destroy Western civilization as we know it?

Possibly. The current, or should I say the undercurrent of the political tide is to support and to promote American Ideology throughout the world, and the U.S. won't be stopped until every leader wears a business suit, and not a stupid picnic table cloth.

The UN is the single most useless body on the face of the planet. It's sad really because it could have been a force for good in the world. Instead it has become a signature of all that is corrupt. Their own refusals to take action even where their own resolutions are concerned has sealed their fate. It is just a matter of time before the UN self destructs. The United States will not destroy western civilization by association with any group. In short, you are confused, it is the terrorists, and other enemies of freedom who openly seek to destroy western civilization.

I'd like to see the United States turn its entire military over to the UN to run and command.

Then the UN would have the ability to "DO" all the things they are accused of not doing (as though they were a country with a population to tax and draw soldiers from).

Then the US would no longer have the ability to destabilize the world by running around attacking smaller countries and playing school yard bully all the time.

It won't happen, but it would be nice.

Now there's some wasted space ! we need more parking on east 42nd street ! Move the spy's and crooks over to 11th Ave, next to the "Javits Center" with the Hookers, and drug pushers, (The U.N. would fit right in)!

Accomplishments to date : ZERO ! but thanks for lining our pockets with the "Oil for food program", I mean like they were TOTALLY" POPPED" FOR THAT ! Why were they NOT expelled ? Did u know that they have diplomatic plates, and Immunity ? they don't have to pay any tickets "So they park wherever they feel like", I saw a cop, tell one of the U.N retards to move the car from blocking the street, the guy moved the car but, with an attitude like the cop was bothering him, I told the cop to tell him "F--- ---" he said "I can't do that" I said "Oh look at that peice of cheese over there officer", and I told the guy "F--- YOU", the cop cracked up, their kids are constantly breaking laws, and getting "Popped" (Busted) and skating because, they have diplomatic immunity, and they know it ! Get it the Hell out of the U.S. !
