What do u mean? France didn't win the World Cup. Italy did. France won only once and that was 8 years ago.

The truth is that:
a) France didn't win the FIFA World Cup 2006 tournament, Italy did.
b) The only time France DID win was in 1998, and it was because they progressed through the preliminaries, and the first and second rounds to the final match (just like every other tournament champion, obviously), which they eventually won versus Brazil.

If in your part of the world it's 1998.. France won. But since in the REST of the world.. it's 2006.. Italy won!!

Because in 1998 they were just terrific. They had an amazing cast of players, many of whom were there again this year, and to tell the truth, France really almost won, they just ran into terrible luck at the end this year. I am still very sad for Trezeguet.

You forgot to add the word "not" in your question.....why France has "not" wond the world cup? That's what you meant, I think. If so, the answer is: Italy played better....had to suffer a non-deserved penalty shot which they equalized shortly after....followed by a goal by Luca Toni which they didn't count (was considered off-side) and finally not missing any penalty shots following the over-time. Italy rocks!!!!

italia won, come on dont be jealous , be a man and face it . anyway us Italians had to wait 24years and we won. now its over let us Italians celebrate and you dont worry about. it really annoys me how everyone is being so weired about us winning. I'm sure every Italian here agrees with me.
