I'm 19, female, and in college. This is for a summer formal with traditional dancing. I've done this type of dancing before but never in a poofy floor length ballgown.

Thank you!

well, if your dress touches ground, its a bit too long for you. you should see your shoes with it. If you have taken classes and know how to dance, the dress is not a problem but only help. If you rae still worrying, wear it at home, grab your brother or father and make couple moves just to get used to it.

A waltz suits any style dress. So do most folk dances. I'd watch Sound of Music for an idea on some unique dancing. Look to Fred Astaire as well.

Sounds like you probably need to shorten it. It could be really embarrassing if you catch your heel on the dress or otherwise step on it and fall down. Ideally, it should be absolutely no longer than the tops of your shoes at the very longest, but something a little below ankle length is better.

You'll dance beautifully I'm sure...but just be careful of your heels. If possible, try before hand but you don't want to keep catching your heels in your dress, most undignified and extrememly annoying! If they do catch, your dress will probably need shortening a little.

Hope you have a great time!
