Cherstin and Adam f, I agree with you, and you do not need to use loud colours. There are a lot of subtle colours that go together that could look nice.

Shoes, there is a shade of Warm Grey, (some people see it as Greeny Grey) that can be used as a very light colour. Like this it looks like off white but i think is nicer. Your son would probably find this very relaxing.

Actually for me it's the opposite. Perhaps because I grew up with wood paneling I love white walls. With white you can always use color in furnishings which are more easily changed and you can hang a tapestry or sheet for color. White is also less claustophobic. Some people recommend painting one wall which can more easily be changed. And, you would probably have to change the color according to the season with warming colors for winter and cooling for summer.

One place I did get tired of white walls was in Canada. Since there is snow and/or haze for most of the year it becomes too much white. I changed my white car for a red one lest it be scooped up as a snow ball by snow removal trucks. I really missed that white car upon returning to a hot climate and regretted having bought the burgundy red one.

What I really hate is the tendency I've seen to paint historic houses with red walls or dark pink and especially (but not only) in warm climates. It is stressful and overheating. And, even in a warm climate I found a beautiful blue bedroom really depressing over time.

So, I would rather go with changing sheet color and furniture colors and wall paintings (art) etc. and use warmer colors for cold weather and cooler colors for hot weather. It helps prevent boredom too.

And, studies show how much color can affect mood and temperature.
Cooler colors can be cooling but also depressing and red or dark can raise your blood pressure, etc. Some colors affect appetite.

I don't know if perhaps they make removable wall panels so that you can change wall color more frequently with either paint or fabric. This would be good for apartment use. Changing decor according to season and mood seems easiest.

I think that white is commonly used in apartments so that it will match other people's decor. Some use an off-white which isn't quiet as cold but not too warming either.

No, I don't get bored, I am usually relieved. It is not always a matter of choosing white because it is easy, neutral and inexpensive. I have an autistic son who is very affected by his surroundings. We can't even visit certain supermarkets because the colour schemes there, which are intended to stimulate and excite people, turn him into an uncontrollable, screeching banshee within 5 minutes. This is more of a problem for some people who have ADHD, panic attacks etc.. Colour has a huge effect on mood and behaviour.
A building that has neutral colours on the walls make our sons's and our lives easier.

Incidentally, cream or off white is better than pure white, which can be a bit stark and bright.

You either do not travel a lot or you have problems differentiating colour. There are so many modern buildings in at least 50 countries that have massive tile-work on the insides. Those that have elaborate paintings use soft colours to accentuate the art. I am not trying to be sarcastic--you should check your doctor.

My mom is likewise a Capricorn, and convinced she will be particularly the party pooper at circumstances. it truly is in easy words because Capricorns are powerful, and sensible souls. it truly is of their nature to no longer see the cost or exciting in cloth or unnccesary issues, they imagine very mathematically in existence "what's going to benefit me", or "what's going to make me useful" is many times what they are questioning, if the answer isn't any, then it would not intrigue them a lot. despite the indisputable fact that, despite the indisputable fact that it truly is troublesome to get a Capricorn to a celebration, even as they are there, they are going to enable loose slightly, or maybe as they have had some liquids they are going to completely go away in the back of their prudishness. My suggestion to you is to relax slightly, do not start up smoking or ingesting or something, or maybe attempt to bypass to events, only go out consisting of your associates (perhaps make some acquaintances), and only go have exciting, go dancing or partying, or jet snowboarding, even with. Open up your thoughts slightly, and don't be so introverted and on my own for all time, go have exciting!

Yes, very much so. Unless it's a hospital, then I guess you want the white to appear clean. Other than that, I agree. We need more color.
