well, i have an e-mail address that i should like to discontinue using, but have no clue as to how to go about accomplishing this. Could anyone explain the procedure for doing this to me?

after 6 months of non use the address will automatically be deleted

Don't sign in to the yahoo address for about 3 months and it'll cease to exist.

sign out of email and messenger than sign back in with your new id.
