I'd always wanted my nose pierced and my wedding gave me the chance to do it! It hurt like stink - I jumped about a foot off the chair - but it was fine afterwards. Make sure you keep it clean (TCP is smelly but great) and you will look beautiful. I have a diamond in mine and it looks great - in my opinion.

Piercings look different on different people. Some people suit them and others don't, but you should have it done because you want to not to paint a picture of yourself as someone you are not. Nose piercings are sore. Out of all mine, the nose was definitely the worst. Mine really hurt at the time & for a few days after, I always felt like sneezing, my eyes watered a lot. and I felt as though I had been punched on the nose, but all these things eventually fade. The original piercing is done with a large bore stud so that I could have any size of jewelry inserted, but after a few weeks I changed this to a small stud - be prepared for the size of the original stud as it is a large, stainless steel ball which looks like a ballbearing (in Britain it is - not sure where you are). You must keep the inside and the outside of your nose clean as this can scab as it heals and I would agree with the advice of the TCP. Avoid touching it all the time, but remember to turn it as you would ear piercings. Be prepared for people looking at you in a different way! as sometimes we are judged on our appearance rather than who we actually are.

I had my nose pierced at 18 and never regretted it - at the time I wore a bloody great ring through it (was a bit of a rebel) but now wear a small sparkly stud.
I had it done at a professional piercing shop with a needle instead of a gun - I would recommend this option to you. Just a tiny bit of pain, then a bit numb but no problems at all.
I actually stopped wearing my nose stud for a while (the scar wasn't noticable) but my boyfriend kept nagging me to start wearing it again so I did. He loves it so and he isn't a wierdo/goth/punk if that makes any difference!

I got mine done only about 6 months ago. It was the most painful piercing Ive ever had and Ive had tongue, belly button, & all over my ears. But when I say painful I mean the actually piercing part. When he was done the pain was gone. Its kinda an awkward place to try to clean but its overall pretty easy to keep up. Also, maybe I was just totally a nerd but I had no idea how the jewelry stayed in so that was a little weird and you have to adjust it alot. Of course it is sore but you wont notice unless you touch it. I did love it though and it was worth it. Although, I do have to warn you. I took it out one night to wash my face (about 4 weeks after I got it done) and I forgot to put it back in that night. I tried the very next morning and it had grown over!! So be careful.

My daughter had her nose pierced but soon let the skin grow back over the hole. She found that she was unable to cope with the cleaning of the stud.

I think that piercings look really elegant and attractive when worn with the right type of cloths usually by people where their culture encourages nose piercing.

But it is your nose and you do what you think!

I got my nose pierced when i was 17, it was just a sharp pain then was ok. Mine bled for a bit as i think the piecer hit a vein. When i got mine done the used a gun but now they do it like your belly button which i would not like done. I like piercings. I used to have my bellybutton, nose and eyebrow done along with about 12 in my ear. I think belly button is sexy with a nice pendant dropping down

Not me, and not me, to both parts of the top questions. I think a person makes her/his own choice in the matter; I myself don't find any piercings particularly attractive (nor really repulsive either, just not attractive). Appearance elements, such as piercings, or tattoos, are of less importance than who the person really is, inside - now that can attract or repulse me, all right.

i had my nose pierced when i was 14, took it out when i was 15, got it repierced when i was 20 and took it out a week later really regretting, now i have a big hole in my nose, in my opinion, leave the piercings to where they are private, my friend had her nipple done and she has no probs with that and her bf loves it, i have a cousin who has her tongue pierced and she thinks is sexy, my sister has her naval done and that can look good too, p.s getting you nose pierced is really painful, it makes your eyes water and it feels like somebody has justed punched you full force in the nose!

nose piercing looks really good on some people but it doesn't look nice on everybody. piercing generally is painful at first, but no pain no gain.
