Has anyone seen "Chocolat"?what did you think? if you have read the book as well which do you prefer? and also, HOW FINE IS JOHNNY DEPP??!!!??

I love that movie, it's brilliant!
I didn't get the chance to read the book. About Johnny Depp, I know... all girls love Johnny Depp, I'll just have to learn to live with that.

Beautiful book...Joanna Harris gathers up some beautiful settings and eccentric characters and storylines and brings them home into a restful conclusion. Her book Chocolat was perfect to be filmed and the cast fitted in beautifully with the novel. Some of the actors are actually some I wish we could see more often: I love Leslie Caron (remember Gigi?) she is classy and we rarely see her. Johnny is a doll and he was so sexy as Roux and I always wonder if this was the start of his real mainstream career as it began to show him to another generation of women. When older women fall for you the money starts pouring in.

It's great. I loved it.
Have to say I prefered the book though. Joanne Harris is great, and if you enjoyed Chocolat, you should read the rest. I've read them all and she's one of my favourites.

I love that movie! It was a great story all around. Usually books are better then movies I think, they can never quite do the book full justice. And YES! Johhny FINE! *dies* Nothing sexier then a man with a guitar. :-) ...Unless it's Johnny with a guitar.

Johnny Depp is great ... and in that case
I prefer the movie. My girlfriend is cooking.
And than we enjoy the movie on DVD by
eating "tiny birdies" with special chocolate-sauce
shown in the movies ....

book is amazing! love it! so much imagery and metaphor. film is good but nothing in comparison to book. if you've only seen film i strongly recommend that you read the book. (although Depp makes any film worth watching!)

the book is much better, the magic doesnt come across as clearly in the film
