Hi there...well the best thing is to think abt anything good in ur life as soon as the bad past starts giving u a tough time.. u can even try counting one to ten so as to make ur mind think abt somethin else .. and the thought will go away .. and then u can get back to what u were doing ..
two.. u can find someone.. to love and share ur thoughts wid ...and he can help u get over the feeling wid u sharing it..with him and u will feel much better that way ..
third.. tell urself twas a bad dream and its shitory now.. life is a precious gift ..lets not make it hard on myself than it already is ..

i don't know if you can forget something like that but i think what you can do is accept that it's happened to you and try to make sure it doesn't happen to you and anyone else. emmerse yourself with activities that can help other people with similar situations or who fear that they will go through it. and maybe by doing that you will have grown into a strongger person and at the same time done good by helping others.

the more you think about it the more you have to deal with it. you have had 3yrs to deal with it. and you delt wrong. if you are afraid that it might hapon again then you need to take a self defence clase or know how you are going to stop it. like a stabe to the eyes or a loud help me. if you arnt wroried about that. you need to change the way you think. 3yrs of bad mental programing is not easy to get rid of. you can start by accepting it. you cant change it or wish it a way. when you have the bad/negitive thoughts dont get over excited. that just makes it seem more importent and its not. you need to substitute those thoughts with ones you like and are good for you. and stop watching it in your head over and over again and again. you can activly distract your self and dont try to hard. again dont get excited or upset if it dosent work. you can try to tag each thought with a reason not to think it. other wise best of luck

maybe you can meet with others who had the same experience and talk with each other to find ways to help each other. I believe there are groups for this.
