i think one only finds true love when the love is based on anything but looks, such as personality. so just keep pressing on love is out there for everyone no matter how bad you think you look. oh and remember we are usually our own worst critics.

Why are you letting yourself go as you say? Not only will it decrease your chances of meeting someone - it is bad for your health. I agree that people should not be obsessed with looks and that you shouldn't try to "recapture your youth" . On the other hand, you should work to make the best of what you have. Yes - older people can find true love. I married again at the age of 43 to a man 6 years younger. I am not foolish enough to think that would have happened had I not looked a lot younger due to working out and taking care of myself. Looking your best will improve your self-esteem and that in itself will make you more attractive to others. Put your best foot forward physically and emotionally and you will find the right person.

Depends--you need to adjust your attitude-if you think your love life is doomed because you are middle aged, then so it will be. Why are you letting yourself go?
There is no reason why you can't maintain what you have the best way you can because you are older. Before you find the right person, you have to BE the right person. Good luck and keep your chin up!

I am 56 years old and yes the photo is current. Age is a start of mind. Although our bodies eventually fail us gradually.
There is still hot passionate love and sex in this so called older age. Finding love at his age is tremendous. You gotta wait until you get there to know how good it is.

i don't believe looks is everything. True love to me means to be able to love, share his sorrows, his joy, and whatever with my beloved without thinking that he is growing old.
