More moped than motorcycle, the 1961 A & AU 'Topper' was a 165cc, pull start, 9 hp, "Scootaway Drive" automatic transmissioned, $430 response to the Cushman, Vespa and Lambretta's, but was a bit late given the emergence of the Honda 50. It could get 100mpg. An optional sidecar added to it's peculiarity. It had a brief notoriety on the TV show '77 Sunset Strip". By 1962, they were designated the AH & AU. The AH was the last to be sold in 1965 before the line was dropped in favor of the M Model. The M was a 50cc moped'ish bike which got a more motorcycle looking brother in 1966, the M 50 Sport. They sold for $230 and $265 respectively. The sales projections for the M50 was a little off. Nearly half of the first 9,000 produced would be warehoused as unsold. Both grew up a little in 1967 with 65cc engines. The sport would become the ML125 S in 1968 before being dropped the same year. In 1972, the M 65 gave way to the X 90cc "Shortster" which was available until 1974, (along with the 1973 Z90) .

Not today! It's possible that there was one in the 70s when Harley was owned by AMF. AMF nearly destroyed H-D with poor quality and abuse of the name. AMF actually made a Harley-Davidson golf cart!!! So it's possible they made a moped during that dark Harley period too.
Now if you want to go WAY back in Harley history, the 1903 Harley (First year of production) was more or less a reinforced bicycle with and engine on it and a leather belt to drive it. It had bicycle pedals on it and looked much like a bicycle. If you want to be picky, I suppose you could have considered that one a moped!

Harley Davidson at one point, prior to the AMF takeover, built a motor scooter called the "Topper". They were assembled by Harley, but ran a Briggs and Stratton or Onan engine, I believe. If you can find one that runs, be prepared to pay as much for one of those as you would a brand new Sportster. There were also Cushman Eagles and SuperEagles and Mustang motorbikes. There again, can be found, but are damned pricey.

the smallest Harley I know was a two stroke single cylinder 125cc Italian-built by AMF in the 1970s.
Oh, no, hang on, they also did a little thing like the Honda dax monkey-bike. probably 90cc.

Probably, they do trials bikes. My daughter even has an official HD pedal bike. Of course I told her when she was older I'd buy her a proper bike...

They built something like that in the '50s or '60s. If you find one, it'll be very rare.
