Rule of thumb is that a baby triples his weight by the time he's a year old. So if your baby weighed 7 lbs at birth, he should weigh 21 lbs at one year.

When he goes for his well baby checks, the Dr. will plot his weight on a chart that will show you his progress. If there are any worries, the Dr will let you know.
