is it just me or are americans idiots? they are self obsessed and arrogant in the main, all you hear from them is harping on about how they are the best country in the world, theyre like kids who just talk about me ,me , me all the time and its annoying!
they have murdered the english language, i mean if your gonna talk english you should do it properly?
they have bastardised our sports:
cricket - baseball
hockey - ice hockey
netball - hockey
rugby - american football, though i would dearly love to see an american football team take on the english rugby team, perhaps they could even take off their girly helmets and pads and play like proper men, not pansie's who are afraid of breaking a nail!
and they refuse to even call our sports as we do, what the hell is soccor? its called FOOTBALL, why? because you play with a ball and use your foot!! simple eh?
not like your football where you pick up the rugby type ball, then carry it and throw it??? hows that football?

I am American. Why does the War always come up in question, it was a long time ago and you weren't around then. I agree that soccer should be called football, but I am also that that we can be individuals and not follow your patterns. No one here really cares about soccer anyway, football and baseball are our main sports. Just because we aren't exactly like you doesn't make us idiots. We have our own traditions.
P.S. I always thought that the English were friendly and polite people until your little rant.

You know guys, life is far too short.
Either stop winding people up, or keep your narrow minded views to yourselves. You should all celebrate the differences, and if you are complaining about other peoples usage of English, have the good grace to get your grammar and punctuation right. If you are quoting historical fact, make sure you have got that right, or in context.
Please be nice, all you have done so far is proven there are wankers in both countries.

Hey - forget that daft word "baseball" it's really rounders. A game designed in England and intended to be played by little schoolgirls who couldn't handle the rougher boys games.
As for the language, well they had to simplify it so the majority would be able to understand and spell it.

Not all Americans are idiots -- just many of us.
I agree with you about American Football. I think it would be much more interesting with no helmets, padding or dead time between plays.
As for Soccer/Football -- we (Americans) are the best in the world. However, we are one of the few countries that realize it is a girl's sport.
