*A blonde, redhead, and brunette were looking at a dictionary for the hardest words they knew. The brunette's word was quizzical. The redhead's word was photosynthesis. The blonde's word was ****.

If you don't care then why are you asking? Apathy is not caring whereas ignorance is not even knowing.. Since you don't care about your own question obviously you are apathetic. But a person can be ignorant AND apathetic at the same time.

Apathy is what you're afflicted with, you don't care, ignorance lack of knowledge about something. You can be knowledgeable about something and still be apathetic.

apathy- When someone just doesn't care. Like someone who doesn't bother to vote.
ignorance- When someone is too stupid to know, but still might care. Like someone who votes, but doesn't understand who they are voting for, or why they are voting for that person.

you're funny. But you got them the wrong way round from a respective point of view.
The difference between knowing and caring should be obvious, surely?
You can know something and not care about it. I don't think you can rationally care about something without knowing about it though.
