The fact of the matter is, it is impossible to get a false positive pregnancy test. But very possible to get a false negative test. Pregnancy tests of any sort (blood or urine) are testing for the presence of HCG's, so it can not come up positive if there are no HCG's present. But, the HCG count can be low enough that one test may catch it and another may not. You are pregnant, no doubt about it. Congratulations!!!

Go to your ob/gyn. I wouldn't trust the folks in the ER with cotton balls. Most ERs are too busy and understaffed to do anything correctly but major emergency. Explain your situation and get another test. My ob/gyn says that the urine tests they give are the same as the HPTs. Only blood and ultrasound can confirm true pregnancy status.
P.S. false positives are harder to get but NOT IMPOSSIBLE: human error, medications, and certain tumors can cause false positives.

you could desire to bypass to a doctor ASAP. HCG hormone the only that turns a being pregnant attempt advantageous does not take 9 wks to get out of your equipment no remember how a techniques alongside you have been. The longest it is going to take is approximately 4-6 wks or maybe thats slightly long. It seems such as you're the two pregnant returned or they did not get each and all of the fetal tissue out. in the event that they didnt get each and all of the fetal tissue out it could convey approximately particularly undesirable infections that is existence threatening. i could deff see a doctor. by ability of how in case you in basic terms had an abortion and are suspecting a clean being pregnant you could desire to particularly prepare safer intercourse. Having many abortions isn't in basic terms irresponsible and costly yet be risky and reason scaring on your uterus. GL and want this helped

i would go with the er - the blood tests they do to confirm pregnancy are more sensitive than otc pregnancy tests... however, if you still don't get your period, in a few days go to your gynocologist and have them retest you. if you are in the very early stage of pregnancy, your hormone level will be low and is supposed to double every two days. the doctor can monitor this.
good luck

Get another pregnancy urine test and see if it's positive again. If it is, chances is you are. Those things wouldn't fail twice in a row. They have always worked for me.

I just went through the same thing and my guess would be that you are pregnant. Make an appt. with your OB in about 2 weeks and i am sure (if you are like i was then you are because i am due in a few weeks) that your test will be positive. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
